Djokovic takes his time in dumping Fucsovics

Novak Djokovic picked up speed after winning a 90-minute first set over Martin Fucsovics 7-6 (2), 6-0, 6-3 on Wednesday at the French Open.

The Serb third seed moved to the third round for an 18th consecutive year

Djokovc handed his HUngarian opponent fifth loss in as many meetings between the pair.

The win took two and three-quarter hours for the two-time Paris champion.

Djokovic broke Fucsovics four times in the final set, wrapping it up on a second match point.

The winner of 22 Grand Slam titles let go of a 5-2 lead in the opening set to make life hard on himself.

Djokovic will next play Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, who defeated Luca Van Assche, the sixth Frenchman to lose on the day, 6-4, 6-3, 7-6(5).
