Djokovic claims injury in Monte Carlo pullout

Novak Djokovic will miss the Monte Carlos Masters next month as the 24-time Grand Slam champion limits his 2026 season due to injury.

The player who turns 39 in May will have played only the Australian Open and the Indian Wells Masters this season while complaining of a shoulder injury.

His last match was a loss to Briton Jack Draper in the Indian Wells fourth round.

The Serb won the clay title in the principality in 2013 and 2015, losing in the first round a year ago to Alejandro Tabili.

Djokovic will drop to fourth in the rankings as a result of his absence at the start of the European clay season.Djokovic claims injury in Monte Carlo pullout
