Boulter fails to join Raducanu and Watson in Indian Wells

Katie Boulter has failed to join fellow Brits Emma Raducanu and Heather Watson at Indian Wells after losing to American teenager Reese Brantmeier 5-7,2-6 in qualifying at the WTA 1000 event.

British No 5 Boulter is coached by LTA’s Jeremy Bates who is looking after Emma Raducanu on a short term basis at the Tennis Garden.

The main draw for the event gets started on Wednesday, October 6 and wild card Raducanu could meet her heroine Simona Halep in the third round.
