Alexander Zverev is awaiting a full diagnosis of the right ankle roll which caused him to go down screaming in pain during his French Open semi-final against Rafael Nadal.
The ATP No. 3 – who missed out on a possible chance to go atop the rankings had he won the Paris title – posted a video to social media early Saturday morning but revealed little by way of concrete details.
“It seems to be a very serious injury but the doctors are still analysing it”, he said without giving any specifics.
“Very difficult moment on the court today (Friday), fantastic match until what happened (…) It’s not an easy moment for me.”
