Tsitsipas wins first grass title

Stefanos Tsitsipas completed a textbook Wimbledon run-up on Saturday as he won his first grass title with a 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(2) defeat of Roberto Bautista Agut at the ATP grass event in Mallorca.

The Greek world No. 6, seeded second, finished off victory in a final-set tiebreaker on Rafael Nadal’s home island with his third win over the Spaniard.

Victory in two and a half hours kept Tsitsipas in the lead on the Tour with 40 victories so far this season.

Tsitsipas won with eight aces and four breaks of RBA’s serve as he claimed a ninth career title.
