Tiafoe claims Antwerp win after tiebreak

Frances Tiafoe beat Dusan Lajovic 6-3, 7-6 (8-6) in the first round of the European Open in Antwerp.

Tiafoe won the first set after double break in the fifth and ninth games, but Lajovic broke serve in the seventh game of the second set to take a 4-3 lead before Tiafoe came through on a tiebreak.

Lloyd Harris beat Federico Coria 6-4, 6-0 and Ugo Humbert beat Kimmer Coppejans 6-4, 6-3.

In the other game of the day, veteran Feliciano Lopez beat Tommy Paul with three breaks of serve to win 6-3, 6-2.
