Stan Wawrinka will return to the scene of his 2015 title when the veteran joins the February field at the ATP Rotterdam event for its 50th edition.
Wawrinka holds three Grand Slam titles and played the best years of his career in the shadow of compatriot Roger Federer.
He will be competing in the Dutch port city for a sixth time during the February 11-19 run indoors at the Ahoy stadium.
“We like to see former winners return, especially when it involves a player with the track record of Stan Wawrinka,” TD Richard Krajicek said.
“His honors list of three Grand Slam titles actually speaks for itself. Every tournament and every fan will look forward to being able to see him in action live.”
The winner of 16 career titles will join a field which includes Canada’s After Felix Auger-Aliassime and Andrey Rublev.
