Serena Williams on Tuesday announced the birth of her second child – another girl.
The former No. 1 who has never officially retired but who played her last match last September at the US Open, dropped the news on social media.
She posted a video entitled “Welcome my beautiful angel” which featured herself, her husband and the couple’s older daughter Olympia, 5,
Husband Alexis Ohanian also tweeted the news: “Welcome, Adira River Ohanian. I’m grateful to report our house is teaming with love: a happy & healthy newborn girl and happy & healthy mama. Feeling grateful.”
He added: “Serena Williams you’ve now given me another incomparable gift — you’re the GMOAT (Greatest Mother Of All Time).
“Thanks to all the amazing medical staff who took care of my wife & our daughter I’ll never forget the moment I introduced Olympia Ohanian to her baby sister.”
