Raducanu to return to action in Mexico

Emma Raducanu will return to action next month at the Abierto Akron Zapopan in Mexico.

The US Open champion got her 2022 WTA Tour season off t a poor start when she suffered defeat at the Australian Open to World No. 91 Danka Kovinic.

Raducanu suffered blisters on her hands during that match, which had an impact performance.

The young Brit has only played nine WTA Tour events in her career.

The Mexican event is a WTA 250 tournament and runs from February 21-27.

Raducanu could also play at the Abierto GNP Seguros event in Monterrey the following week as she prepares for the Indian Wells Masters in March.
