Raducanu one and done in Abu Dhabi

Wild card Emma Raducanu failed to find a place in the Abu Dhabi Open quarter-finals as she was beaten by second seed Ons Jabeur.

21-year-old Raducanu lost 6-4 6-1 to the Tunisian world No. 6.

The 2021 US Open champion from a qualifying start Raducanu made her Grand Slam return at last month’s Australian Open after missing the final eight months of 2023 following wrist and ankle surgeries.

The Brit has yet to register a victory over a top-10 opponent.

Three-time Grand Slam finalist Jabeur hit 35 winners and eight aces on her way to a storming straight set victory, winning the last six games on the trot.

She will play Brazil’s Beatriz Haddad Maia in the last eight.
