Nishikori ruled out for rest of 2020

Japanese star Kei Nishikori has ruled himself out for the remainder of the 2020 season after confirming he is still battling a shoulder injury.

The 30-year-old sustained the injury Roland Garros last month.

“I have decided to finish my year,” Nishikori said.

He was expected to take part in the Paris Masters and the Sofia Open in November.

It has not been a good year for Nishikori, who after a right elbow operation in October last year, had his return delayed after testing positive for COVID-19 in August.
