Young Italian Lorenzo Musetti became the first player born in 2002 to reach an ATP quarter-final, beating qualifier Andrea Pellegrino 6-2, 6-1 at the Sardinia Open.

The teenager dominated on both serve and return, dropping only 12 points in eight service games for victory.
