Halep back on court in Prague

Simona Halep is back on court today in Prague for the WTA clay event.

Halep has yet to commit to playing in the US Open.

The Romanian heads a field which includes the No.2 seed Petra Martic, No.3 Elise Mertens and fourth-seeded Dayana Yastremska.

Among the other names, Canadian Eugenie Bouchard is the lone player to have made the trip from North America to Europe to play.

Wildcard Bouchard opens against the No.8 seed Veronika Kudermetova.

Prague, along with Lexington, mark the second week of play on the pro tennis circuit since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
