World no. 11 Gael Monfils has hired Dominic Thiem’s former coach Gunter Bresnik for 2021.
Veteran Austrian Bresnik has worked with many top players for more than 30 years, including Boris Becker, Henri Leconte, Patrick McEnroe and Thiem.
Bresnik worked with Jerzy Janowicz and Ernests Gulbis for a couple of months last year.
Monfils lost to Thiem in straight sets at the Australian Open fourth-round last January.
