Tennis : Rolex Monte Carlo Masters 2025 - Atp -
Carlos Alcaraz earned the 300th win of his ATP career as the Spaniard rolled 6-3, 6-0 into the semi-finals of the Monte Carlo Masters over Alexander Bublik.
The top seed who is defending his title in the principality swept the last 10 games on the way to victory as he controlled the scenario against a wily Kazakh opponent known for mixing it up on court.
“It was a solid match, against him you never know what will be next,” Alcaraz said.
“I’m just happy to get to the semi-finals and happy for my 300th win – I hope there are a lot more.”
Alcaraz said he recovered from a tentative start but quickly found his rhythm on the clay.
“In the first set I had points to go two breaks up but I didn’t make it. I lost feeling on the ball.
“He was pulling off some great shots, I had to run and defend. I saved a few games and that gave me a lot of confidence.”
Alcaraz took control midway through the opening set and never lost another game on his way to victory.
The Spaniard who is defending championships points from last season in Monte Carlo, Rome and Roland Garros earned his 16th straight match win on clay.
He is seeking a third title of this season after success at the Australian Open and Doha last month.
