Former Miami Masters finalist Alexander Zverev will face a repeat of the 2021 Tokyo Olympic final after his win into the fourth round with a 7-6 ((4), 6-3 defeat of Chris Eubanks.

The German who finished runner-up in Florida in 2018 to John Isner, will hope to repeat his  Games gold medal defeat of Karen Khachanov. who booked his Miami spot 6-1, 5-7, 7-6 (4), over Francisco Cerundolo.

Zverev  had to fight past trouble in the opening set as Eubanks served for the first set, but the Games gold medalist was untroubled after that minor scare as he booked his 16th win of the season – saving three break points to complete his victory.

“It was a difficult match. I thought he was in control of it throughout the first set,”  Zverev said.
