Stefanos Tsitsipas set up double match point with a rare drop shot and followed that up with a deep forehand to produce a winner at the Paris Masters as the Greek won the 300th match of his career on Friday.

The No. 6 duplicated his final four showing here a year ago, where he lost to Novak Djokovic as he beat Karen Khachanov 6-3, 6-4 in 80 minutes..

Tsitsipas will play for the final on Saturday, taking on resurgent Grigor Dimitrov, who has lost the last five matches in the series.

The winner converted all three of his break points and ended with 22 winner and 14 unforced errors.

The winner was pleased with the shot selection which allowed him to close out victory.

“I managed pretty well against an opponent who serves and returns well,” Tsitsipas said. “It was good to come up with a nice shot.

“This match was much better for me than my last few.”
