Australian Open winner Jannik Sinner won’t be returning to the Marseille Open this year following his dramatic five set thriller against  Daniil Medvedev, earning him his maiden title.

He has withdrawn from the ATP 250 event which runs this year from February 5th to 11th.

The Open 13 Provence event in Marseille usually attracts a few top 10 players, but is somewhat depleted this year, especially with the loss of it’s main drawcard.

The Italian played the tournament two years though he skipped year’s edition after initially signing up for it.
