Shapovalov pulls out of Paris Masters

Canadian Denis Shapovalov has withdrawn from the Paris Masters.

No. 13 ranked Shapovalov made his Paris debut in 2017, when he lost to Julien Benneteau in the first round.

On Wednesday Shapovalov recovered from a set down to beat Pablo Andujar 2-6 6-3 6-0 in his St. Petersburg opener but said afterwards he was tired.

“Definitely very tough to play Pablo [in my] first round of a tournament.
