China’s Zhang Zhizhen became the latest player to become embroiled in a long toilet break saga as he beat fifth seed Casper Ruud earned a memorable 6-4, 5-7, 6-2, 0-6, 6-2.

Zhang became the first Chinese tennis player to earn a win against a top-five player, but the match became heated in the final set after Zhang took to a toilet break.

The delay lasted seven minutes, causing Ruud to argue with umpire Richard Haigh.

“You follow the rules so clearly sometimes and other times you don’t give a s**t,” Ruud told the umpire.
