Hometown boy Tommy Paul swept aside South Korea’s Ji Sung Nam 6-1, 6-4 in the first round at the Delray Beach Open on Thursday as No.6 seed Sam Querrey also recorded a win.

Paul, who lives in Delray Beach, is one of 13 Americans in the draw.

Querrey hit 13 aces on his way to a 6-3, 6-4 won over fellow American Mackenzie McDonald.

American Sebastian Korda beat Kwon Soon Woo of South Korea, 6-4, 6-4.

Italian Gianluca Mager beat American Ryan Harrison 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 and Thiago Monteiro beat fellow Brazilian Thomaz Bellucci 6-3, 7-5.
