Only three now remain in AO quarantine

Only three people remain in quarantine in Melbourne, health officials confirmed on Monday.

COVID-19 Quarantine Victoria said 12 people linked to the tournament left on Sunday, leaving three active cases still to be cleared.

Spain’s Paula Badosa was the only player to have confirmed that she tested positive for COVID-19, restarting the clock on her mandatory period of isolation.

Bizarrely, Badosa’s request for an exercise bike was turned down by health officials who said it contravened their ‘infection control’ policies.

Victoria recorded its 26th successive day of zero community transmissions on Monday.
