As tickets went on sale yesterday for the US Open officials announced new rules to combat the potential threat from the Covid-19 virus.
The New York Post reported the Arthur Ashe Kids Day, annually held the Saturday before the event starts, has been dumped and fans will barred from attending the week of qualifiers before the main event.
Once the main draw begins, full capacity will return to the Open, which begins on August 30.
All fans will be required to wear masks when entering indoor areas, but it is believed if the roof is closed on Arthur Ashe Stadium or Louis Armstrong Stadium, it will still count as an outdoor situation because of the high-tech air circulation, with no masks required.
