Andy Murray has dumped German coach Jan de Witt after an unsuccessful trial period at the Australian Open.
Former world No. 1 Murray was knocked out in straight sets in the second round by Japan’s Taro Daniel and at the time said was critical of his performance.
“Tonight is not good enough,” he said of the defeat.
“Making the second round of slams is not something I find particularly motivating. I want to be doing better than that.”
De Witt has previously coached Gael Monfils, Gilles Simon and Nikoloz Basilashvili.
