Medvedev jumps to fourth in ATP rankings

Daniil Medvedev’s first title of the year at the Paris Masters has moved the Russian up to fourth in the ATP rankings released yesterday as the world’s top players move on to London.

Medvedev’s 5-7, 6-4, 6-1 win against Germany’s Alexander Zverev on Sunday lifted him above Roger Federer who has sat out most of the season after knee surgery.

Novak Djokovic remains No. 1 ranking for the sixth time as he heads into the ATP Masters starting on Sunday.

Milos Raonic made a big move of the week, rising three places to 14th after reaching the semifinals in Paris and Frenchman Ugo Humbert climbed four spots to a career-high No.30 after beating Casper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Marin Cilic en route to a Paris Masters quarter-final spot.

Young Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina jumped 11 places to No.52 after Paris success, where he beat Karen Khachanov.
