In a rain-delayed match, Petra Kvitova sailed to an easy 6-1, 6-2 win over Britain’s Johanna Konta at the Miami Open in less than an hour’s play.

Kvitova didn’t waste any time, winning eight points in succession to go up 3-0 early, Konta winning one game as the first set was over in 26 minutes.

The second set was little different, with the Czech in aggressive mood.

Kvitova held service to go 4-2 up, before she took out the set and the match with a superb forehand return.
