FAA sees off qualifier

Felix Auger-Aliassime began his Paris Masters campaign with a three set victory over Gianluca Mager.

The Canadian started slowly, losing the first set to the Italian, but fought back in the second and put away any doubts in the third. The final score was 4-6, 6-4, 6-1.

Felix Auger Aliassime goes on to play lucky loser Dominik Koepfer in the second round, the pair have never met on the court before.

The 21-year-old keeps his tour final hopes alive for now, but sits last on the list of contenders for the last remaining qualifying spot. Ruud, Sinner, Hurkacz and Norrie all have more points.
