Duchess of Cambridge meets with British US Open champions

The Duchess of Cambridge has met with the British US Open Champions today. Emma Raducanu, Joe Salisbury, Alfie Hewitt and Gordon Reid.

The LTA is hosting a homecoming event for these champions. A 30 minute show will be broadcast on BBC iPlayer at 12:30.

Before the show, tennis patron Kate Middleton chatted to Raducanu, with the Duchess calling Raducanu and the others “seriously impressive.”

Raducanu had already been sent a congratulatory note from the royals, which she said she was “very very honoured” to receive.

The Duchess of Cambridge has been waiting since the start of the month to congratulate the 18-year-old in person.
