Paula Badosa faces a tight recovery deadline if she wants to play Wimbledon after a leg muscle injury which forced her to quit a match at Roland Garros.

The fourth-ranked Spaniard was unable to continue last week in Paris as she retired against Viktoria Kudermetova in the third round.

Now doctors are advising the 24-year-old to take three to five weeks off for recovery.

That time line means that Badosa will have to skip the WTA Berlin event from June 13 and looks quite unlikely for the grass of Eastbourne, the premier Wimbledon tune-up on the English south coast.

In a worst case scenario, the Catalan could also miss Wimbledon, Spanish media report.
