No. 21 seed Paula Badosa stunned No.3 seed Barbora Krejcikova 6-1, 7-5, to make it to the last eight at Indian Wells.

The Spanish No. 2 hit 24 winners with clean and precise tennis to see off the French Open champion.

The six break points also helped as Krejcikova’s 28 unforced errors were her undoing.

Badosa broke serve in the first game of the first set and that set the tone for the rest of the match.

The second set was closer with four service breaks in the first six games and Krejcikova saved match point at 4-5, but Badosa broke serve at 6-5 to wrap up the match with a superb forehand winner.
